Transcoder sites.

Transcoders are online programs that will take a web page formatted for a full size display, and reformat it by simplifying to work on a mobile device.

• Sqweezer. There is also a Webmaster edition, that is designed to be installed on your site.
• Google transcoder.

• Wordpress Mobile Pack. To make a Wordpress site mobile device friendly.

Device detection scripts.

These sites have open source, free device detection scripts, that you can set up on your site to automatically direct a page request depending on device type. All of these require some php programming experience, and vary in complexity. I listed the simplest at the top.

Mobile Emulators.

These tools let you check what your website will look like in a mobile device, from within a regular desktop browser.
